Elisabeth Drude /   Austria

Elisabeth Drude is a German jewellery artist living in Vienna. After a classical goldsmith apprenticeship and the master in art history, she worked in business for a long time. In 2016, she founded her studio and has dedicated herself to free jewelry design. Since then she participates in numerous international exhibitions.

Selected bone forms are brought into a new geometric order through fragmentation. This interplay of height and depth creates a wave form, which is supported by the subsequent coloring. The original material of the animal bones is no longer recognizable and is absorbed into the new forms and colors of the arrangement. This process is the transformation from bone to jewelry form, from transience to new purpose.
