This piece was sort of transitional for me: I started creating them in January 2022, when I was still in Moscow, but I had to finish them already in Israel, where I had to flee after being arrested at an anti-war rally in Russia. The necklace reads “I promise you it is not a phase” and was originally meant as a statement about “bisexual struggle” but with new context it turned into a more depressing illustration of never-ending cycle of war.
