Alessia Prati, Italy

In a World that increasingly imposes judgement and populism, as an exponent of the Queer community I address the theme of uniqueness, investigating the self (the Unity, coloured, beautiful, but suffering) as opposed to society (the Multiplicity, dumb, violent, censoring). How our true self can, and must, fight to flourish from the inside out, showing itself in all its weaknesses, which in so doing become strength.

Each of my artefacts is indeed unique and speaks its own language of tactility, weight, texture, sounds and movements.
