Seojung Kang / USA

Most buildings in Seoul are clean and well managed by security cameras. In this work, Seojung began to think about the double side effects that cities might have. Countless camera lenses make her wonder how many eyes are in the lenses to keep the city safe. We are safe yet we are being watched. The cubes of this piece represent buildings. In this intersection, there are images which represent the monitors connected to security cameras, and red threads represent the recording lights on cameras.
