Alicia’s work merges the traditional craft processes of silversmithing and goldsmithing, vitreous enamel and textile lacemaking with digital applications of rendering and laser etching to create wearable adornment. Alicia finds beauty and understanding between art, nature and technology through pattern and form.

We often think of patterns in the traditional sense through the decorative arts and high fashion with elements that are visually stimulating because of their perfect repetition. Alicia extracts these patterns and emphasizing an obvious glitch, distortion, or manipulation, finding beauty in the tiny faults, tears and other imperfections.
