The world that we are living in scares the shit out of me. Climate change, loss of fundamental rights, assaults on democracy, the global health pandemic had me paralyzed in my studio, thinking the effort was pointless. When I finally started making again, I felt the need to create work that would make me feel strong. I started carving big bold rings that border on weaponry. These Battle Rings remind me to fight for the good things in life and not give in to the negative pressures of our global situation. They have also renewed my belief that jewelry is important. The objects that we choose to adorn our bodies with can give us power. Slip on a bad ass ring, channel your inner warrior and go face the day.
